Arriving at the end of the aisle she proceeded around to the next one. There she noticed a white, hard cover leather book on the floor, halfway down the aisle. She walked over to it intending to put it back on the shelf. However, when she picked it up she examined its rough exterior running her fingers over it and noticed its many gold-edged pages. Flipping it over, the title caught her eye.. ‘IMAGINE HISTORY’, printed in bold, golden letters across its front and down the spine. Yet, when Simone examined the book further she noticed that it did not have a code like the rest of the books in the library. So as she concluded that it must belong to somebody she opened the front cover to see if there was any identification inside. What Simone saw shocked her. Written in the middle of the inside cover in Simone’s own handwriting were the words.
‘This book belongs to Simone’.
She slapped the book shut in bewilderment, and whilst she examined it for the second time she said, “This is not my book.”
With apprehension she once more opened the front cover and looked at the hand writing. She mumbled with exasperation “I didn’t write this..”

About the Author
Pero Kovaceski was born in the town of Ohrid, Macedonia. From a young age, he developed a passion for writing. This love, which is still very much present to this day, is clearly evidenced here in his first published novel, Imagine History.
He and his family migrated to Sydney, Australia, where Pero spent most of his early years. It is where he now lives with his wife, Bronwyn, but they enjoy visiting Macedonia regularly.
