The clock is ticking. Tick . . . Tick . . . Tick . . . Three seconds have already passed, just like that. God gives a measure of time to each one of us. He knows all arrival and departure dates. He has a copy of both your birth and death certificates on file. He put them there. You and I were created in the image of God, called to worship and enjoy Him, in a real and personal way. Him loving you, and you loving Him back. Creator, Creation; Father, Child—that’s how it goes. Let not the cares of this world steal from you the very thing that you were created for, a thriving relationship with God, one of prayer and praise. It’s so very easy to lose so very much. Is He waiting? Yes! Will you be disappointed? Never.

About the Author

Kim K. Cavender is an author, poet, artist, mother, grandmother, foster mom and business owner. Ten years ago, she and her husband Gary founded Pi Ranch in northern California, home to over 50 foster children, as well as a beautiful setting for weddings, baptisms and other events. Kim also owns and operates Jabez House, an assisted living home that ministers to the elderly and, additionally, serves as a place to help various people in need of God’s grace.
