One of them hatched,
And then there were two.
Two pale blue eggs in a nest ‘neath the warm and golden sun.
A second one hatched,
And then there was one.
One pale blue egg in a nest ‘neath a pearly moon when the day was done.
The last one hatched,
And then there was none.
What hatched from those pale blue eggs, up in the nest of that big oak tree?
A trio of baby bluebirds,
One, two, three!
Mama and Papa were so happy and proud.
They danced and they preened,
Among their sweet bluebird crowd.

The Bluebird Dance is a sweet and simple story about a bluebird family, held together by a very strong bond. When it comes time for the baby bluebirds to find the courage to spread their wings and explore the world on their own, the family must search for a place where they can all stay together, yet each create a home for themselves. About the Author
Erin O'Loughlin is pretty sure she was born to write but keeps getting interrupted by life in general. Last year she started the nonprofit organization, 3 Irish Jewels Farm, an assisted farm living program for adults and children with autism, and suddenly her head was bursting with a story to tell. With no shortage of excitement, chaos, and ideas to write about now, she hopes to be submitting many more children's stories in the future. She lives in Cary, North Carolina, with one husband, one daughter, two sons, one black Lab who also happens to be her son's autism service dog, one golden retriever, and two cats. She regularly escapes with her family to Galway, Ireland, her husband's hometown.
