About the Book
My Daddy said that he found his baby in the Five & Dime
Mother was working as a sales lady at the Woolworth’s Five & Dime Store, Concord, NC when Daddy came by with Mother’s cousin. He was dashing, wearing a white hat and swept Mother off her feet. He told her cousin that he was going to marry that girl someday.
Once when Mother was critically ill, she asked me if she was going to go be with the Lord today. I told her if she did, Daddy would be waiting for her. She said the most romantic thing as she smiled, “Your Daddy had the softest sweetest lips”.Thus the title of my book: Sweet Soft Kisses from Above I hope you enjoy Our book that has my Daddy’s paintings, my Mother’s poems, devotionals which I wrote, along with the children and grand-children’s memories.
