What Mercedes is struggling with is a shock for her. She has to find the Lord on her own terms, so she thinks she is torn into pieces and is trying to find out why. She has lost her job and has been forced into retirement, with a drastically reduced income. Now she’s struggling to pay her bills, and her husband wants a divorce. She feels her whole life is falling apart. She is not the person she used to be. She does not want to wake up any more. And now she finds herself asking, “Where are you, Lord?”

About the Author

Rebekah Canaan was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio, but moved to California after her five children graduated from college. 

Rebekah is a spiritual person; she wakes up every day giving praises to our heavenly Father. She loves to sing to the Lord at home and in church. She enjoys going for long walks alone and feeling the sand of the earth massage her feet. She loves to write romantic novels and short skits during her quiet time. As a youth Rebekah always had a vivid of imagination, and she used her creative abilities in her writing.
