Taken Into Time "By the Spirit of God"

The first four months there were really bad, Just really a blur to me, I was all alone. My life was in shambles. My heart had been torn from me last August, I felt life now held nothing more for me; I just don't fit in. "I've had enough",
So! I decided to just do as a lot of other Viet-Nam Vets had done and just end my life this coming weekend (3 day's away) Put an end to all the hurt I've endured over the past 33 years.
I nearly died several times in Nam. That would have been a better death for me. I was not a religious man at all, never was. But! I had meet people who said they were Christian's, But! They never shared their God with me. Little did I know; vary soon I would be meeting "God's Holy Spirit" myself.
That March Thursday evening after working late and missing supper at the Mess Hall, I stopped at a small PX and bought a bottle of beer, something I rarely did as I was not a drinker and continued the long walk to the barracks.
It was sunset as I entered the cold room that was now my home and as I sat down on my bunk, I placed the bottle of beer on the floor up to the pillow end of the small bed and began to unlace my boots and as the second boot fell from my hand,
My body suddenly became warm and I was aware that I was not alone. But! no one had entered the room. Then I was completely surrounded and covered by a love that no words can ever describe. I could feel that I was in the presence of a Grate Being. I was humbled in his presence and from deep inside me a voice came to my ears saying "Joseph, I Am The Holly Spirit Of God" and with just those words all the hurt that was in me was washed away in a moment and to my surprise,
I became as a little child. I was completely helpless, yet, Very Happy. I felt as if an old friend from long, long ago had come to find and rescue me from myself and my drowning life. I was so glad that he was with me. I'm no longer alone.
Joyfully I cried for the first time in my life. Hot tears streamed from my eyes so much and for so long, I took off my tee shirt to wipe my face and soon it was totally soaked with tears.
After a time had passed, I was exhausted. I could now feel sleep was quickly coming upon me. I had been setting in the middle of the tiny bed so I just began to lean to my right side to lay down on the bunk,
But! Before my head reached the pillow and as my eyes were now closing, I could feel that one of my blankets was being spread upon me and a hand was upon my shoulder and with that touch I was fast asleep.
Morning came and as I put on my uniform my mind was running a mile a second concerning the night before and all that had happened.
Stepping outside and taking just a few steps a voice spoke in my ears and told me to stop and face eastward.
As I did so, the voice said "Joseph! You are now a citizen of Israel, your home is Jerusalem". I wept after hearing those words as I made the long cold walk to work. (Strangely, I had no desire to eat and it would be that way for the next 4 days)
But! Now I saw the earth differently, I had a strange love for it, I found myself picking up trash and cigarette butts all the way to the building where I worked.
