Tears lined Heather's eyes as she sat near her friend. she choked back words that could not form on her lips. "Carol threatened a restraining order against me to keep me away from Dennis. I will never see him again. Kelly, I have no case against her. I have no legal right to see him." Heather never remembered feeling so much sadness in her heart to cause her to cry uncontrollably. Tears seemed to be flowing from the ocean outside her room. Kelly quickly dabbed Heather's eyes with a napkin. " It hurts us, Heather," she said softly. "It feels like our soul and heart are ripped out of our bodies. But we pray that God will watch over the people we love , give them a better life, and give us the strength to move on. If we do not see them in this life, then we certainly will see them in the next."
