Midst summer's day I hear your call,
Come sit beside me, rest your soul,
And watch my waters softly roll.
Let down your hair, undo your mind,
Relax, and as you watch you'll find,
That as I fall and disappear,
Your cares dissolve and God is near.

About the Author
Barbara Layton is a retired banker, certified financial planner and stockbroker. She has been a motivational speaker, leading seminars and retreats for businesses and churches. She attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and has been a speaker for Stonecroft Ministries for eighteen years.
Barbara grew up in Cave City, Kentucky, and has been writing poetry and songs for most of her life. She has served in Poland and across the United States doing short-term mission work along with her husband, Charles.
Barbara and Charles live in Fort Worth, Texas, and they have four children, eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
