Demon Warrior

"I act like a demon, I want things a demon wants, and I even look like a demon... I drank the blood of an angel… How can You want me? I am nothing compared to Your followers, the lowest of the particles of the dust at their feet." Silver lowered her gaze and wept. She didn't hear the lion approach the last few steps between them but, through a haze of tears, she saw His shadow move closer. She shut her eyes tightly and tried to hold in the tears and her whimpers. She only succeeded in making herself shake. Then she felt the gentle touch of Shepherd's long, blue mane and broke. Silver wailed and cried. Her tears flowed freely and all the while she tried to stop to no avail. Then, gently and calmly, Shepherd spoke. "My dear, dear Little One, I see you as the beautiful creature you are and the wonderful one you can become. My Father can see it even more so. In your own way you are tremendously powerful and very strong. You are needed." Silver leaned into Him and the lion did not pull away. She cried for a while longer then began to settle down. Silver rubbed her face along the lion's long mane and when it was dry she rested her head on His shoulder. She opened her eyes and gazed off into the sky, not really seeing anything. "I have to know where Lydia is," she said. "She is the only one here who loves me and wants me here." The great lion put his massive head gently on her shoulders. "I want you here, Little One. I love you." Silver closed her eyes wishing she could bask in the warm glow she felt emanating from Shepherd forever.
