A Dancing Dream

In the midst of her sleep, Daisy felt a tingling sensation all over her feet like butterflies were dancing on them. She was awakened by a soft voice that said, “I was waiting for this day to come.” Daisy opened her foggy eyes slowly, searching to find where the voice was coming from. 
“Hi, I am the Dream man.” His voice sounded like flowing waters. “I come to those who once dreamt; I know all about their dreams and how to make them come true. Your time has come to choose to follow the dream that is within you. But I’m not the one who will make it come true, you are! The best person you can be is yourself, so don’t settle for second best by trying to become someone else. 
Still in shock by the splendid figure before her eyes, Daisy asked “But how can I make it come true? My mom allowed me to take dance lessons when I was younger, but… her dream got in the way. 
“Your mom and dad love you and have always wanted your best. But they were blinded by their own frustrations, and personal desires that they failed to see through your eyes. Your motive was right when you chose to obey them first, but now you have been given a second chance to discover and develop your real calling” said Dream man. 
Even though I never lost the passion for dancing, I don’t think I can do it anymore.” Astonished by the words he had just heard, Dream man grabbed Daisy's hand reassuring her “I believe in you. Start dancing! A real dream never dies, thus I have come to help you. I know your heart because I have lived in it all these years and I feel the hope you’ve been carrying. You think about it often, and it even gives you goose pumps; you have shed tears for it, and all of that behind closed doors when you think no one was around; but I see you! What you believe on the inside, you can eventually see it on the outside. That’s why guarding your heart and mind from negative thoughts is very important. And that’s why I am here, because I know what you hold inside, and it’s good. I want you to remember what I am about to tell you. It’s a story about the life of ants”. 
“Did you say ants?” asked Daisy surprised by the reference to the tiny creatures. 
“Yes, interesting enough they are small in size but big in perseverance. Have you ever noticed them before? Ants are hard workers and never quit. They don’t let any obstacle stand in their way, on the contrary they confront them by walking around, over, under, or through them until they achieve their desired outcome. But another good lesson we can learn from them is how they work together, helping one another along the way. Just follow these simple instructions and you will be successful: A dreamer will only live the dream if he or she fights for it, never getting lazy and never giving up. On your journey of pursuing your dream you must treat people as you would like to be treated; don’t be unkind or step on others; neither allow others to take advantage of you as a way of getting ahead, because that’s not the right path to take. Above all, remember to fulfill the Master’s dream.” 
“But who is the Master? And what is his dream?” Daisy sounded confused. 
“The Master is the one who put the dream in you. He has been watching you and knows everything about everyone. He loves us all! Words cannot describe his beauty and majesty. His dream is for us to know and love him first, and then to love others and help them fulfill their dreams as you fulfill your own.” With every encouraging word Daisy felt as though a heavy weight was being removed off of her shoulders. 
All of a sudden Daisy’s eyes got attentive to Dream man’s coat; she wondered what those ever changing words written on it meant. She couldn’t hold her curiosity any longer and asked “What do these words on your coat mean?” 
Dream man answered with a giggle “I’m glad you asked! These are other people’s dreams. I like to have it always on me as a reminder that these aspirations are still alive. See! Look at yours here, it has never been erased. This is your time to get back on track and pursue it with all your heart.” 
“But how do I know what path to take?” Daisy asked. 
“Here, take this and follow the path called, ‘Delight in the Master’. It will direct your steps, and instruct you to do what pleases him, and because he wants the best for you, in the end you will also be happy,” Dream man slowly placed a map in her hands. It sparkled and shined magically, but as she held it closer to her face she could almost hear music coming from it. However, its greatest wonder was not found in its appearance, but on the message that it revealed inside. 
"You must first write down your dream on it, just like it is written on my coat, as a daily reminder that it is still alive. This map will lead you to a narrow way that not many are able to walk through, so avoid deviating from it even if things get tough. Do not only focus on the destination, but also on the journey to get there, because it’s where you will learn the most lessons. There is one condition though: in order to read and understand it, you must have a pure heart," stated Dream man. 
Daisy still amazed by the beauty and craftsmanship of the map asked, “So where do I start? Dream man? Where are you?” Daisy looked up and Dream man was gone but his words were engraved in her mind.
