Hope. We all need it in this day of hectic lifestyles, broken relationships, materialism, and hurting hearts. A Teardrop A teardrop glistening in the light Slides gently down her cheek Dropping silently into her lap. Hot, burning tears . . . From brimming eyes . . . Spilling over slowly at first, Then cascading in ever-increasing torrents As her grief breaks through. In spite of the pain, In spite of the hurt, There is beauty in the tears. Reflecting the light, they sparkle As much as any diamond. Tears . . . God's cleansing jewels, Bringing relief to her hurting heart.
