Rosie was a little scared because she didn't know what was making the noise or who could be up there. Quietly, she climbed the ladder. At the top, she slowly stuck her head in and looked around. The room was big and dark. She stood very still, hardly breathing. Bump! Turning her head she looked in the corner where the bumping sound came from. Someone was holding a lantern with their back to Rosie. She wasn't sure who it was. Whoever it was stood leaning over something. Rosie quietly climbed the rest of the way into the attic. She started to walk over to the person when her foot hit something causing it to skid across the floor. Too late! The person heard her! The person turned and the light shined right into Rosie's face. Rosie froze!

About the Author
The book series Robin is writing are chapter books for grade-school children. She has been teaching for over thirty years. Robin, along with her late husband, was an AWANA missionary for the Colorado front range. They ministered to over one hundred churches. She had the great opportunity to go to Ukraine and Russia to show teachers how to teach children by means of storytelling. Over the years, Robin has taught children and adults, from small groups to groups of hundreds. She was instrumental in starting the children’s ministry for a new church plant, running the AWANA, Sunday school, children’s church, and children’s choir programs.
As a mother and grandmother, Robin understands the enormous task of rearing children. Teaching God’s truths and biblical character can be difficult. Supporting parents by telling stories with biblical character themes is a priority to her. A few years ago, Robin was praying when she felt the Lord gave her this story, introducing her to the imaginative world of Rosie, her main character.
Robin lives in Rifle, Colorado, with her husband of one year, Jimmy. She has three married children and ten grandchildren. Her grandchildren love to hear her stories and sometimes request them when they are out and about. This in turn attracts more children who stop, sit down, and listen.
