God reflects His glory
In the setting of the sun each day,
That no artist brush could ever match
Nor mankind take away.
How glorious is the sky He paints
With the blending of each hue,
The Master creates it new each night
To signal that the day is through.
The beautiful colors are blending now
Turning mostly to a deeper red,
I love to watch the sky each night
As God puts the sun to bed.

About the Book
Higher Thoughts is a collection of poems, mostly with a Christian-based theme, intended to lift and encourage you and bring a smile to your face. Included are poems for special occasions such as Christmas, Easter, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, and birthdays. The collection also includes some love poems. Picture in your mind a beautiful sunset, an approaching desert storm, an eagle soaring across the sky, and a magical world of make-believe, and you will find the words in this book that make these images come alive.
About the Author
Wesley Scott started writing poetry around the age of sixteen, at the prompting of an English teacher. He believes this ability is a special gift from God and has enjoyed sharing them with friends and family over the years. He has written over two hundred poems, mostly with Christian-based themes, meant to bring encouragement to his readers. Mr. Scott lives in Spokane, Washington, with his wife, Shirley.
