About the Author

More than three years ago, Lori lost her husband of twenty-seven years and the father of her three children, Allan E. Haywood, III. Although her struggle with grief was long and tough, she stood her ground as he would have wanted. She followed the Lord who faithfully led her through the journey. Lori made a constant, daily decision to choose to move forward and grow in every area of her life, instead of retreating and falling into self-pity and despair. The Holy Spirit led her to start writing daily Speak the Word Only devotional letters to minister to many through e-mail. She hopes that her journey will reach out to others, saying, “You can do it; make that choice.”

Lori loves her hometown of Battle Creek, Michigan, and plans to support her community and work as Realtor there for as long as the Lord leads her.
