The angel was even more beautiful than before … Angelica sat on a hand-carved chest in Johnny’s foyer, and even though Johnny was told to look but not touch, he couldn’t resist, and he picked her up. The angel fell from his small hands, and with a loud crash, her wings broke into a million pieces all over the floor. God, however, does a miraculous work.

Johnny’s story is one that teaches the importance of obedience but also brings home the lesson that when God repairs us, we are even more beautiful than before.

About the Author

As a child, I loved the book, The Littlest Angel. In recent years, I have written numerous poems and a few twelve-week Bible studies, which I have taught to women. But my real desire has always been to write a children’s book. One day, while babysitting my young grandson, he picked up a beautiful angel I have sitting on a hand-carved chest. I love angels and have them displayed throughout my home. This particular angel is my favorite and the most beautiful. When my grandson picked up the angel, her wings flew off and broke into a million pieces. My ingenious husband took all the pieces and glued her wings back together, and she was even more beautiful than before. Thus, when God “fixes” us, we are even more beautiful than before. This incident was the inspiration behind the book, The Angel with the Broken Wings.

Sally resides in the desert of Tucson, Arizona, with her husband. She has four children and seven grandchildren. She and her husband have parented over sixty foster children. She loves reading, scrapbooking, home decorating, and writing. She loves to teach and mentor younger women especially on subjects concerning marriage and parenting.
