Koa, the koala bear, and his fun-loving animal friends (a crocodile, a kangaroo, a platypus, a cockatoo, a hedgehog, and a sugar glider) live in Australia. He and his mates are looking forward to enjoying the summer playing in the forest, but Koa is not behaving like a good friend should. About the Author
John Bettinger is a graduate of St. Lawrence University and has lived abroad for over thirty years in Spain, Japan, and Mexico, as a children's teacher and missionary. In Mexico, he worked with orphans. John is presently employed at a children's shelter and resides with his wife, Kina, in Allen, Texas. They have eight grandchildren.
