The sun-dappled Amazon Forest was buzzing once more on this beautiful morning as Little Max stepped out of his hiding place to look around. The storm had finally passed. Everyone in the forest was back to their business scurrying, scampering, plodding, rustling, humming and marching. Up the hill or down the river they went; everyone was going somewhere.
“He is gone! Must have been taken down by the storm,” the animals were whispering. Everyone was pretty sure Juku the Great Snake, the stealthy forest monster most feared of all the snakes in the jungle, was finally gone.

About the Author
Guia Dominado holds a degree in Education with a major in English Language Teaching from Silliman University. She is a Sunday school teacher at her local church, where her stories are used to create a fun learning environment. She also loves to draw and paint and gives painting lessons during the summer. Guia resides in Manila and dreams of pioneering a foundation in her own country one day that will reach out to underprivileged kids and introduce them to the wonderful world of reading and writing.
