Highlights of the Ministry
I want to share with you some highlights of my ministry. I hope it will be a blessing to you. When I started the Lord spoke to me. "I HAVE CALLED YOU TO BE A WATCHMAN." I will be sharing this with you along with my mother’s dream about Hell, and many dreams and visitations from the Lord. I hope it will help someone and to be an encouragement to someone that may want to do a work for God.
It is not easy to obey God, but it is rewarding. I have left home many times with tears in my eyes. I have been home sick many times, but the burden is greater than the comfort of the flesh. I would go on for God’s Will meant everything to me. I have failed God many times and I have made many mistakes. I could have quit many times, but by the Grace and Mercy of God I have made it thus far. I want to fulfill Gods will for my life. There have been much heartache in my life and much pain that I would like to write about, but in this book I want to focus on the Call of God. If God blesses this book, maybe I can write about that later.
I wanted to be a Rancher. I started with building a barn and fences and planting grass and buying a calf and other farm animals. I was on my way to fulfill my dreams, but God had other plans for me. I gave my life to God and he called me to be a preacher. God changed MY plans. I gave up many good jobs because I wanted to Evangelize. The call of the Lord was on my life and I had a great burden to work for Him. The only peace I could find was when I was preaching and working for God. I would fast and pray and God would anoint me. That was awesome! I was on fire for God and I don’t regret anything I have done for God only I wish I could have done more. I was very limited in my finances. At times I have cried because it was so hard. I remember sleeping in a school bus, and under the tent and taking a bath in the creek, but I was glad to do it for the work of God. I know it was hard on my family and I was misunderstood, but we did eat and had a place to stay and were happy working for God. Souls were being saved. I have worked most of my ministry when I didn’t have a job. I would sell donuts and candy to be able to pay the bills. The only time I didn’t work was to fast and pray. This book is not about memorializing Brother Manders, but about celebrating my life for God. The dreams that came to pass and still many more to see come to pass to glorify God for his blessings. If God can use me he can use anybody. As a boy I was insecure and shy and I had no confidence in myself. I felt like a nobody. The Lord took me and helped me to believe in myself. By Gods Grace and Mercy, he helped me. IF GOD BE FOR US WHO CAN BE AGAINST US. ROMANS 8:31. I can't make it by myself I need the Lord. NAY IN ALL THINGS WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS THROUGH HIM THAT LOVED US. Romans 8:37

About the Book
The Bible says in Proverbs 13:15, “Good understanding giveth favor: but the way of transgressors is hard.” If we go to hell, we have to go by the preacher’s sermons, by your mother’s prayers, and most of all by Calvary. I'm so thankful that God saved me and changed my life.
Pastor Manders’s heart’s desire is to tell the lost about the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, so that all can receive salvation and be saved from the wrath and judgments of God. They are soon coming upon all sinners and unbelievers and all those who refuse to believe on the Son of God. With a great desire to do something for the Lord, he preached his first sermon in a little army tent, and he has since traveled to fifteen countries and is now pastor at Grace & Truth Church in Dawsonville, Georgia.
Pastor Manders’s dream was to have a church like the Murrayville Revival Center where he got saved. The Lord showed him in a night vision that it was his perfect will, so he started working toward it with no money, just a step of faith. It has been the Lord’s to make a way from a storefront to a cabinet shop that we renovated that is now a beautiful church. Through much prayer and sacrifice, now the vision has come to pass. “Teamwork makes the dream work!”
About the Author
I, Jimmy Manders was born June 21, 1945. People said I would either be a drunk or a preacher man. For many years, I drank and done drugs and lived a life of sin. I went out west to California and partied in the night clubs, but like The Bible says, “There is only pleasure in sin for a season.” At the age of 19, after hearing God would not always deal with men’s hearts, I surrendered to God, got saved and received the Holy Ghost. God came to me in a vision and said, “I HAVE CALLED YOU TO BE A WATCHMAN. GO FORTH AND WARN THE PEOPLE WHETHER THEY HEAR OR FORBEAR”. The Bible says in Proverbs 13:15. GOOD UNDERSTANDING GIVETH FAVOR: BUT THE WAY OF TRANSGRESSORS IS HARD. If we go to hell, we have to go by the preacher’s sermons, by your mother’s prayers and most of all by Calvary. I’m so thankful that God saved me and changed my life. My heart’s desire is to tell the lost about the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, so that all can receive salvation and be saved from the wrath and judgments of God that are soon coming upon all sinners, unbelievers and all those who refuse to believe on the Son of God.
