PREFACE
Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit I write this book because I believe that the Lord wants to teach each of us to learn how to listen to his voice. Jesus the Lord is the Shepherd and we are his sheep for Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow Me” (John 10:27).
I still remember vividly the morning when I was praying when the Holy Spirit told me, “My dear little child, I want you to write a book to show my children how to listen to my words.”
This was something that I had never asked for or thought of; therefore, there was a mixture of confusion and excited joy in me. My confusion was the result of me knowing there was no way that I could write a book when I had never written one in my life. Plus, I am not well educated, my words are simple, dull and not flowery; so, how could I complete the task of writing a book that the Lord wanted me to do? Then this verse from the Bible came to mind: “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us’’ (Ephesians 3:20).
Then I felt comforted when I thought if I could write what I experienced in listening to His voice and how step-by-step I walked closely with Him. In the following days I did not mention the matter to the Lord. But then he told me to go ahead and write the book. I then asked Him, “My Lord, please help me so I can complete what you want me to do.”
Even though I told Him I would write the book, I still procrastinated because I felt that the task was too difficult for me. I did not know where to begin or which verses from the Bible to use to support the subject. Whenever the Lord asked me to work for Him previously traveling here and there in the country or abroad, I had never hesitated or procrastinated. I was always obedient and ready to serve with faith and trust that the Lord would guide and work with me in each step everywhere.
I have followed in the guidance of the Holy Spirit for many years, known that He is the great teacher and God of my life, and I’ve also known that the Lord is the faithful God who is not late in fulfilling his promises; yet somehow, I was still at a loss to start this writing process.
Then the Holy Spirit reminded me of the Lord’s words, “And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through accompanying signs’’ (Mark 16:20).
During my journey of service to the Lord, I can say that I am one of His followers. Through his blessings, I have experienced many miracles from Him. Whatever He promised me, He would complete them according to his timing. But when He told me to write according to His will, I hesitated and dared not get started. Continuously the Lord reminded and reminded me until I actually took a pen and wrote on a sheet of paper.
I know that the Lord is not pleased with the fact that I did not immediately execute his will. When I thought of His sadness caused by my delayed start, I asked for his forgiveness and started the task without hesitation. I heard His voice: “Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed than the fat of rams” (1 Samuel 15:22).
People look at the outside appearance, but the Lord looks into our hearts. He has always told me,
“You are imperfect in front of me, but I know you are an obedient child.”
Praise the Lord! Thinking this would be too difficult for me to do, I hesitated. I have read so many great books that were written by His servants, but I did not know where to start. Suddenly, the Lord’s words reminded me, “But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty” (1 Corinthians 1:27). He also told me, “I have chosen you among the women who respect and fear me so that I could open the eyes and hearts of my servants who do not trust my Holy Spirit. They will be ashamed and, as a result, learn to trust my Holy Spirit more…This will help speed up the results of my work according to my plan and good intentions…so that the revival will soon come to save many people!”
When I heard the Lord speak these words, I was so touched and cried to Him, “My Lord, who am I to be so loved by you? I know that I am not perfect in your eyes but you have mercy for me. Dear God! I am a fortunate child, I want to thank you. I am grateful and it is only by your grace that I am what I am today.”
The Lord also said to me, “Yes, you are the blessed child; there are an uncountable number of my servants who wish to hear my voice dearly in private and wish to talk to me often to receive the loving teaching and guidance of a father to his own dear child…”
“Start writing. When you depend on the Holy Spirit for help, the task will no longer be difficult to you. I also want you to testify about your life before you came to me. The situations in which you lived until the time you invited me into your life to be your master and then you heard my voice. Also retell my communications to you and how powerful and efficient they are so that you and your church gain the experiences from the Lord whom you worship. I am the Living God who is living among my sons, my daughters, and my Church. You also write a book so that you will experience that you can do everything by the Lord who gives you the strength (Philippians 4:13).
I thank the Lord and I am grateful for his communication to me. I feel that there is nothing more blessed in my life than being in the love of God.
Through this book, I want to thank the Lord with all my heart for His grace and mercy that saved my family. Praise the Lord!
