“And he said unto them, with desire I have desired to eat the Passover with you before I suffer” (Luke 22:15). What is your greatest desire? What is it that you look forward to the most in your life? Let us use Christ as our example. The Lord's Supper can be taken daily, weekly, and as “often” as desired (1 Corinthians 11:26).
Think of it: Jesus had not purely waited for just a few days or a couple of years for this special supper for He knew the scriptures and prophecies well from the age of 12. Now He is 33 years old! Jesus knew us 2000 years ago at the cross. We were there! (Galatians 2:20). He waited from then until our natural birth. Then He waited until our spiritual birth. He waited and waited with passionate longing to join us, to eat and share the Lord's Supper with Him.

About the Book
The goal of this book is to help create an intense desire to meet the Lord Jesus at the Lord’s Supper on a regular basis, just as He has a passionate longing to meet us there. It has weekly meditations to help enrich that special time, which can inflame a consistent devotion that can relight your candle. It can be used as a launch pad by the pastor, teacher, or preacher for individual sermons and teachings on the Lord’s Supper, or simply a devotional companion for the Christian at home.
Some churches have a tendency to use the same meditation, same Scripture, and often the same songs every time they observe the Lord’s Supper corporately. This regular practice can become boring, routine, ritualistic, and eventually meaningless without taking an approach to deflect that. It helps to use a different meditation every time: take a new outlook, change the topic, or use a new theme of our Lord’s life and sacrifice and meditate on it, though maintaining the foundation of Christ’s sufferings and crucifixion.

THOMAS LEE PRICE has been a minister of God’s Word since 1993. He attended the seminary in 1997 and earned a bachelor’s degree in theology. He has other writings in process, which include a Bible study guide called To Live Is Christ. He now resides with his wife Laurie, in Warner Robins, Georgia.
