About the Author
God has his own timetable with everyone’s life. After a lifetime of wanting to be an author of Christian writing, author Doris Cowen finally brought this book into being.
Roughly thirty years ago, she did “Dial-a-Devotion,” which she recorded each week; this helped her grow spiritually. During the next ten years, she cared for her mother, who was an invalid at that time. God taught her many things. After her mother’s death in 1999, Doris started writing “Inspirational Thoughts” for the Democrat-Argus, a local weekly newspaper.
All of her life, Doris has felt that God had special work for her to do. Many times, while writing these stories in the wee hours of the morning, she has felt God’s presence, guidance, and inspiration. Without Him there would have been no stories. Her prayer is that these stories will be a blessing to everyone who reads them.
