Day 223
May we learn to appreciate all that GOD has given us; no one can match His gifts!
Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
My mother was a very kind person. She was not selfish in her ways. She had very little and always managed to help anyone who called on her for help. Needless to say: there were those that took advantage of her good nature and would leave her without a cent. Yet she never complained. As I recall I don’t know if I ever heard my Mom complain. She always had that warm and friendly smile on her face. She had a real joy about her. She was a very special person and people loved her. I recall different times that my mother was out with us for dinner. I would always peak at her when she prayed and it blessed my heart to see it. She would always put her hands together and lock in her fingers. She would then bow her head and put her hands against her eyebrows as she prayed. She reminded me of a little child when she did that. She was a great mom and it will be wonderful to see her again in Heaven.

About the Author
On October 30, 1978 the author Gary L. Rodgers became a born-again believer in Christ. During his lifetime he has had the privilege to sit under some very devout and awe inspiring men of God who have helped to develop his Christian walk. Through the power and conviction of the Holy Spirit, God’s presence became very real to him. He has witnessed a life changing miracle in himself and others through God’s salvation and grace and has always desired in some way to be a blessing and help to others.
As a Christian he has faced his share of struggles and trials and says that if he has learned nothing more about being a Christian, he has learned that you cannot get so far away from God’s love that there is no road of recovery leading us back to him.
Mr. Rodgers has lived most of his life in the south central portion of the state of Pennsylvania, where he has always enjoyed the changing seasons.
As a young boy his life was a wonderful experience of roaming through the forests and open pastures of his beautiful country setting. Now that his family has grown and he is in his retirement years, Mr. Rodgers now pursues his heart’s desire to serve the Lord through a writing ministry. Sharing his experiences and those of others that he has befriended has become a joyful treasure of memories.
The author’s goal is to finish strong in his Christian faith, actively sharing the good news that Jesus saves, and to be an encouragement and strength to those that are either struggling or beginning their Christian walk with the Lord Jesus Christ.
