Harvest appreciated his friend’s honesty. He hesitated for a moment, but finally spoke. “‘Born again.’ What is it to be ‘born again’? I mean, I know the meaning, but … what is it, really?
A man once asked me if I was born again. I answered yes, but truthfully, I didn’t know what to say. I felt like he wanted me to say yes, so I did. After all, I know who Jesus is and I know several Bible stories. So I thought, Sure, maybe I am born again.”
Thoughts raced through Vessel’s mind. He was pleased his friend would ask him such an important question, yet he was insecure about his ability to properly communicate the message of being born again. Then he remembered Jesus, the One who had graciously and simply communicated the message. Turning once again to his Bible, Vessel said, “Harvest, you have asked a good question. A man named Nicodemus who was a leader of the Jewish people asked Jesus a similar question. I’ll read His answer to you.”
Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

Susie Michaels diligently searched the Holy Scriptures for five years before she discovered the answer to the riddle of water: what is the significance of water in the Bible, and why did Jesus turn it into wine? Water is mentioned over 600 times in the Bible, not including rain, wells, rivers, the sea, springs, and brooks. Surely water, the water Jesus turned into wine, has significant purpose, a purpose our heavenly Father intended for us to draw upon and the Treasure He desires us to seek.
