“But I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.” Philippians 3:13-14, New Living Translation
Progress is a great thing, especially if you’ve been stuck in a rut longer than you expected. We can all admit that we’re not where we want to be in life. And some of us can agree that because of God’s grace, we are not where we used to be.
However, no matter how content we are, we will always long for something better or be pushed into that direction by some unforeseen circumstance. He sent two angels to destroy the city. Lot met with these angels, who warned him of the destruction that was about to come. They said, “Get them out of this place—your sons-in-law, sons, daughters, or anyone else. For we are about to destroy this city completely,” (Genesis 19:12-13, NLT).
The next morning, the angels noticed that Lot was hesitant to leave…
