"Once in the forbidden bedroom, I pulled aside the curtains and was releived to see the outside shutters were open. The rain was falling steadily now, but not in torrents, so I had a good view of the round green hill. Pulling the dresser stool over, I sat down and pressed my face as close to the window as I could, leaning my elbows on the sill.
Everything was growing fresh and green from the rain and it's tap, tap, tapping on the window pane lulled me into a sleepy stupidness. I didn't stay that way for long.
Over the top of the green hill a faint glow began. At first I thought I was imagining it, but it grew to a brightness and size of a burning tennis ball. The glow completely consumed me. It was the same glowing light I had experienced climbing up the green hill. As I looked, a tiny speck appeared and began to move toward me from inside the glow. Once it reached the window I could see it was the zipping, bobbling, whirring thing dancing around outside in the rain! Then there was another and now, another! The three of them zipped and bobbled and danced around in front of me and were having so much fun that I was hopping up and down too!
Finally it dawned on me that this was probably not a social call; that they had come with another helping/advocate word for me so I'd better pay attention. I moved as close I could to the window pane and so did they. The whirring began right away and my heart sound heard, "Louisa, in this room is a pearl of great price, but also a danger to your heart." Then they bobbled up and down and zipped away into the glow.
As I watched them go, the glow faded as it had come to a small faint light on top of the hill until it had gone completely out. I sat there on the dresser stool for a long time. I wished the light would come back. That light is the most wonderful thing in the world as far as I'm concerned. Inside that light it is so amazing that there are not words in this world to describe it!"

About the Book
Louisanna lives with her grandmother, Nimee, in a huge house on a lonely northern island. Her only companion is her nanny, Cerena, who has come to realize that Louisanna has inherited her grandmother’s “second sight.” Louisanna is drawn by a force she does not understand to climb the green hill near their house.
Once Louisanna reaches the top of the green hill, she finds herself in another time and place, in a kingdom where Satan is all-powerful, and nothing is as it should be. Everyone she meets seems to have been expecting her, and even though she does not understand why, she courageously takes on Satan and his minions with the help of many strange and interesting creatures and beings she has met along the way.
Little does Louisanna know that Satan has plans for her that include a journey through the very heart of his darkest realms and to use her as a ploy in his plan to once again make himself higher than God.
About the Author
Myra F. Dingle is the mother of two boys who loved to be read to, a person with a childlike heart, who was read to daily growing up, and a woman who made her career working with children. She has a degree in English literature. The driving force behind Louisanna and the Lopsided Kingdom has been a work of faith. Louisanna hungers for truth that she believes is genuine. Louisanna and her fellow characters experience transforming truths during her journey in exciting ways and with fresh perspectives. Myra lives in Pawleys Island, South Carolina, with her husband, without whose encouragement and patience this book would have never been finished. They have two grown sons who live in Charleston. The baby at home is Mimi their Great Pyrenees.
