Amplified version says it like this. Ephesians 6:12 for our wrestling is not only, not chiefly, against flesh and blood - Weak men, or fleshly appetites. But against principalities, against powers - The mighty princes of all the infernal legions. And great is their power, and that likewise of those legions that they command. Against the rulers of the world - Perhaps these principalities and powers remain mostly in the citadel of their kingdom of darkness. But there are other evil spirits who range abroad, to whom the provinces of the world are committed. Who continually oppose faith, love, and holiness, either by force or fraud; and labor to infuse unbelief, pride, idolatry malice, envy, anger, and hatred. In heavenly places - which were once their abode, and which they still aspire to, as far as they are permitted. Satan set his claim on this world at the fall of man, and has become progressively more wicked with his attacks through the ages. Now at the seemingly end of this age more evil is being set before the eyes of the youth and everyone more tools of evil is now manifesting in this new age of technology to capture the hearts and mind of the people.

About the Author
Ruth Lee, author of Straight Paths to the Supernatural, challenges people to pray. She is an avid student of God’s Word and a constant prayer warrior. Her walk with God has been steady and unwavering. Ruth was licensed with the Assemblies of God in 1982. She ministered for seven years on Christian television, producing and hosting a variety show touching on subjects pertinent to Christian and secular life. She taught a teacher training course for seven years. Her studies have taken her through the Old Testament about thirty times and the New Testament nearly a hundred times.
