Crazy Street

That was the last thing Mandy would say. After those words, she ever so innocently, just like a child, fell asleep in his arms. She nuzzled her face into his chest. He just now noticed that he had his arm around her, holding her. He had been so captivated in her spell, he hadn’t even noticed. The room was dark. Everything was so quiet and peaceful. He moved his face close to her. He could smell the sweet smell of Jasmine on her. He looked at her face, so peaceful, so beautiful and so full of love. He pulled her close and hugged her, feeling her soft hair on his face. Ahh! She felt so good and was so completely irresistible! He found himself wanting her in ways he had never even imagined. He loved holding her while she slept! He loved. He was beginning to love her! Oh! He knew he had to be strong! If he crossed that line, he would never be able to work again. If they found out, he would be fired. If they found out his life would be ruined. Then he looked back at her beautiful, perfect face and he knew that her thoughts were not anywhere near the thoughts he was thinking. He knew he needed to get up. He needed to quit this. He needed to stop but he could not stop! Again, he smelled her hair and felt it so soft as it brushed against his face. Jasmine. He never knew Jasmine could smell so good. He closed his eyes, trying to imagine if their lives had been different. What if he had known her when they were younger? What if life had not been so cruel? What would it be like to share home, a life with a woman like this? He could imagine bare skin, sweating. He could imagine two people, united in love and expressing it with a burning fire. Oh! How painful! He had to get up! Must get up! No! He wrapped his arms around her even tighter and closed his eyes, feeling her small, feminine curves… had to get up! He gently moved her onto the couch and she opened her eyes and smiled at him.
“Stay. You are warm.” She said half awake. She had no idea just how warm he really was.
He looked at her with love and smiled, “No. I ne— I can’t. You rest now, O.K.?”
She smiled back at him and stretched a little. Then her eyes closed and she was off into sweet dreams again.
Michael got up, went to Daniel’s room, and found the child snuggled in his bed, fast asleep. He wasn’t surprised to see him wearing Spiderman pajamas! He was such a rascal! He turned around, walked into the hallway, put his hand on the door knob to the Holy Room and then looked at Mandy’s sweet face as she lay there sleeping on the couch. She had had such a hard life. Maybe now wasn’t the time to violate her with his snooping. He took a blanket from her bed, covered her up, and left Mandy and the child sleeping.
