About the Book

“Sometimes we are sent on a journey in which we have no choice or control. When terrible things happen to us especially as children, and we have no one to plead our case, we often interpret life through the lens of pain. In these pages, we read about a man who traveled thousands of miles in an attempt to hide from himself, only to run right smack into himself. After thirty years of hellish living, Kendall admitted who he was and what he was. The result was a process that led him out of the gutter and into the pulpit. Have you or someone you know traveled a similar path? Have you made some detours that have gotten you lost? Maybe Kendall’s story can encourage you also to make a “yoU-TURN.”

About the Author

It was the Holy Spirit who nudged Lemuel to inscribe his journey of pain and sorrow to healing and hope on paper.  The process was therapeutic for him.  His sharing was a washing of his soul.  Some may call it closure, but he views it as an opening.  After growing up in the Texas panhandle, he now lives in Louisville, Kentucky, with his wife and two dogs.  He is a preacher at a Christian church in Indiana.
