Cynthia Jackson has lived a life full of challenges to overcome and puzzles to be deciphered. About the Author
Cynthia G. Jackson, a lifelong journal writer, graduated with a BA in music education from what is now Point Loma University in San Diego in 1971. Having a son in special education, she was called upon to advance the cause of both her son and the special ed system by writing justifications for new classes. She currently writes a monthly page on the subject of prayer for Covenant Community Church, where she is a deacon. She also writes a monthly newsletter page for the Christian Motorcyclists’ Association.
Cynthia was born in 1949 and lived in many places in the Pacific Northwest during a turbulent childhood. She graduated from high school in Orosi, California, in 1967. She met and married her husband, Larry, during their college years and bore their first child, Brian, six weeks before her senior year. It was during her military service that she bore her daughter, April, in 1976. Cynthia deployed to England during Desert Storm and suffered an injury that followed her into retirement in 1999. She had spinal fusion surgery and became acquainted with chronic pain.
