About the Book
International School Project began in the Soviet Union in 1991 and has presented a Christian morals and ethics curriculum to public-school teachers in Ukraine since 1992. Since 2007, 220 teachers have been trained to conduct Christian seminars for their colleagues. The life stories of many of these “teachers of impact” who changed from Communists and atheists to Christians unfold in these pages of From Nyet to Da.
About the Author
Jerry Guibor is a native Californian who has worked as a photographer, reporter, designer, and editor at newspapers in California, Arizona, and Oregon for more than forty years. Since 1994, he has been a volunteer missionary with three different mission agencies in Russia and Ukraine. He began with International School Project in 2000 and reconnected with ISP in 2006. His first book, A Candle Burned, contains stories of faith about his Russian and Ukrainian friends.
He has two adult daughters and five grandchildren. He has been married to Lyudmyla O. Guibor, a native Ukrainian, for more than two years. He and his wife live in Fresno, California. Lyudmyla has one granddaughter.
