One of the aspects of the journey to a renewed mind is a transition from believing in God to knowing Him. God appoints members of the Body of Christ to perform different functions which have as their aim the preparation of the people of God for works of service. The goal of these works of service is to build up the Body of Christ into maturity of the Body. In this maturity, the Body will experience unity in the faith, unity in the knowledge of Christ leading to attaining the measure of the fullness of Christ. We will no longer be tossed back and forth by the winds and the waves of different teachings but rather will know God for ourselves.
As part of the testimony of Jesus, God gave us confidence builders to encourage us in the journey from believing in Him to knowing Him. As we saw God heal more and more people of more and more complex issues, we had both the thrill of knowing that God had changed the history of the person He healed and the increasing certainty that the God of our hopes, wishes and desires was not only real but was intimately concerned with the everyday problems of His people.

About the Author
Jeffrey B. Thompson is a lawyer with a general law practice in Granbury, about twenty-five miles southwest of Fort Worth, Texas. He and his wife, Nancy, relocated to Granbury in 2006 after spending more than thirty years as a trial lawyer in complex civil litigation for clients in or connected to El Paso.
While in El Paso, Jeff was an associate pastor for five years at the House of Cornelius and a member of the board of directors for fifteen years.
Beginning in 2008, Jeff and Nancy began to routinely witness God’s miraculous intervention in the lives of His people. They have repeatedly witnessed history being changed before their eyes.
Together they have presented the material discussed in Because He Said So in Granbury and Benbrook for the last three years. Jeff and Nancy are available to address your church or conduct classes to equip believers in your church who are willing to participate with God in delivering His compassion to His people.
