Genesis 45 is an example of the extreme measures God goes to ensure provision for his children. God is not surprised by life’s events, circumstances or situations. What is an unexpected calamity for us is usually a set up of us by God. God has and will always make provision for those He loves and fears (is reverent towards) Him. Beginning in Genesis 37, we see life’s blank pages starting to record the journey of Joseph the son of Jacob. Joseph, after many problems and unfair circumstances acknowledges that God intended it all for him to prosper. God loves Jacob and his family so much, God orchestrates life’s circumstances and events to cause Joseph to be in the right place at the right time so supernatural increase, blessings and favor can be poured onto the children of Israel. Why would God do all this for these people? He did it so His people would be protected and provided for in due season. He is doing the same for us today. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Galatians 6:9 (KJV) God’s grace abounded for his people then and his grace abounds now. God is faithful and He keeps his word. He was faithful yesterday, He is faithful today and He will be faithful forever. God is as committed to his word for us today as He was when He spoke them to Abraham. In the face of extreme conflict in our social economics and personal lives we are all feeling the pressure of life. So many times we are tempted to surrender our dreams and hopes to the challenges facing us each day. Even in the face of the unthinkable, the death of a child, Dwelling in the Land of Goshen outlines steps to ensure success the face of overwhelming circumstances. Nothing is impossible with God. Dwelling in the Land of Goshen is to WIN in Life.
