Preface

Can we talk?

Why are those three words so very frightening to hear…and sometimes to say?

That’s how this all began. God said, “Can we talk?” Actually it was more like, “I’m talking to you. You need to listen.” Little did we know He was talking to other women and preparing them to join us in this crazy journey, as He prompted us to ask them, “Can we talk?”

God has been amazing, persistent and more than a little patient as we have ignored Him, fought with Him, negotiated with Him and finally obeyed Him. Why is it so tough to tell our own story? God has been so very good, yet opening our mouths seems to take a crowbar sometimes. As much as we denied His calling to tell His story of our lives, we are now thrilled to be writing an actual introduction to an actual book ….years later!

From the birth of an idea to gathering writers to editing and publishing, God has led us each step of the way, showing us the people He wanted to use and giving us the words He wants to share with you.

God has blessed each of these writers by bringing them into a closer fellowship with Himself and we pray that through reading their stories and by delving into His word, you may enter into a deeper fellowship with Christ as well.
We invite you to walk along with us through some of our lives’ most sacred moments. So, grab your tissues, your Bible and your pencils and be prepared to laugh, to cry and be challenged. Be ready to experience Jesus enCouraging you just as thoroughly as He has enCouraged all of us
