THE MORNING
The first thing I saw when I opened my eyes were His eyes--warm, inviting, and brown with gold flecks. He was on His knees and bent tenderly over me. His face broke into a big smile and said in a deep, golden whisper, "Good morning, Eve." "Eve?" I didn't know where I was, but somehow I knew I must be home. As my eyes took in a larger picture, I saw a beautiful yellow bird sitting on His shoulder and singing to his heart's content. A silvery, fuzzy little creature hopped onto my chest chattering, then looked up at that most handsome Being smiling at me. Other animals came to look at me too. Or, perhaps, they just wanted to be near Him. He didn't tell me who He was, but somehow I knew: He was the Essence of Love, He was the Mighty Creator, He was God. He held out His hand; a large, strong and inviting hand. My hand looked so small in His. After helping me up, He gave me a big fatherly hug that lifted me off my feet and swung me around. His voice was strong like the wind and warm as the sun. He said, "Eve, I have so much I want to tell you and show you, but first," He said with sparkles in His eyes, "I have someone I want you to meet."

About the Book
Eve’s Song is a short story of Eve as seen through her eyes. It begins at her creation by God and ends at the death of her beloved husband, Adam. She tells of her experiences in the garden of Eden, her temptation and fall, and life outside the garden. This, of course, is a novel; but it does not contradict the Bible. It expands on her possible feelings of joy and love and fears for her family and future.
About the Author
Marilyn J. Ferguson is the author and illustrator of this book. She is a retired nurse and lives in upstate New York in a beautiful rural setting by one of the Finger Lakes. Since retirement, she has done more of her favorite pastime of painting. She has two grown children and two grandchildren who are living in Virginia and New York.
