About the Book
This book is the result of a difficult year with time to reflect on life, one life, how it got here, and where it chooses to go. A compilation of thoughts, poems, and short stories, with the hope to shed a little light on a path to a better life.
About the Author
Gary R. McCree was born and raised in Southern Illinois, where he lived forty-nine years and has been married for thirty. He has two beautiful children and one grandchild. He doesn’t consider himself a prophet, poet, writer, dreamer, or preacher. To put it in his own words, “I am just one person living in today’s world. This is not an autobiography. It is an account of how I came to connect the dots in my search for the truth. I live, work, and play in the outdoors. Although I have been a carpenter for twenty-seven years, a waterfowl guide for twenty-three years, a ball player for seven years, coach for ten years, and a business owner for twenty-three years, I am none of those things. I’m just a man. In my lifetime, my titles have included owner, manager, coach, photographer, guide, as well as husband, father, grandpa, friend, writer, painter, producer, editor, pro-staffer, guest speaker, call-maker, calling champion, carpenter, lawn guy, and babysitter. All those things still only add up to just what I am, and that would be one man. One man in a world of many!”
