My preview text is: Revelation is divided into three divisions. Those things from the past “Have seen” never to return Revelation 1:1-20. The things present “Which are.” Revelation 3:20-22.Next would be those things in the future “After these things.” From Revelation chapter 4 to 22, we have a panoramic view from the apostle John through the ages. John will later be released from the island of Patmos and return to Ephesus there he would live to approximately the age of 90, and being the last of the apostles to die at his death he will be buried at Ephesus. By now all other apostles have died a martyr’s death some in the Holy land and others in other countries throughout the world. The island of Patmos is located in the Greek Archipelagos, and today it is a vacation resort with restaurants, hotels, and shops. The word Patmos simply means “Mortal.”

About the Book
An in-depth study of the history and culture setting behind the book of Revelation and the cruel leaders leading up to the apostle John’s banishment to the isle of Patmos. Patmos, during John's time, was the place where prisoners were sent live out their last days. Yet today, Patmos is a beautiful Greek island resort in the Aegean Sea, just off the coast of Turkey. It is here on the island that John will receive the vision to write while on the Lord's day. John will be told to write those things that Daniel was commanded to close up and seal until the time of the end.
About the Author
Floyd I. Buffenbarger is a past Bible teacher, teaching from 1991 to 1994 on television in Louisville, Kentucky. For the last thirty years, he has taught in public and private education, having earned a master’s degree in business from Century University in California and a theology degree from Liberty University in Virginia. Presently, he and his wife live in southern Florida.
