About the Author

Penny Zombik has worked with children of all ages for many years. Her first position as a kindergarten teacher set the stage for a career in teaching and caring for young children. Penny spent several years working within school systems as an assistant to special education teachers. She then opened up a preschool in her home, where many young children began their road to learning. Penny also taught Sunday school for many years.

It is her desire to see more young people reading again and to keep alive the great art of storytelling in the lives of young people.

Penny lives with her husband, Rev. David T. Zombik, in the metro area of Memphis, Tennessee. After raising a family of four daughters in New England, the Zombiks have relocated to the South. Penny being a Southern girl and her husband a Northerner has made for an interesting life. The Zombiks are currently serving on the Ministry Team of their local Church. Since being voted in as Sunday School Directors, they have been busy teaching the Adult Sunday School Class and the new Life Builders Class.
