About the Author
Verna Louise and Doris McKinney are sisters. Both have extensive experience raising and educating their own children, and grandchildren, as well as other kiddies in their communities.
Verna Louise is a creative writer of songs, short stories, and children’s books. She is a Christian singer, former back-up singer, entrepreneur, human resource manager, and realtor/investor. She and her husband, Charles, have five children, and eleven grandchildren.
Doris B. Mc Kinney was born in Holly Springs, Mississippi, but has spent most of her adult life in Memphis, Tennessee. She and her husband, Joe, have three children, nine grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. She retired as an English teacher after thirty years of service. She was also a teacher and director at a Christian child-care center.
