I remember December 31, 1999 being pretty much the last of what I call a “normal day.” The next day, was New Year's Day, 2000. A lot of people were concerned with what the New Year of 2000 was going to be like and talking about all the changes. But for me -I had other things I was dealing with. I dealt not only with one cancer diagnosis but three, throughout my experience. I truly did not let having cancer stop me from doing what I wanted to do. A great example is going to a Nebraska Husker football game when I had surgery only two weeks before.

About the Book
This book is a vivid picture of what it was like to be a teenager and find out that you have been diagnosed with cancer. It is also about my experience with cancer and how it not only affected me but changed my life forever.

About the Author
I started writing this story while I was attending classes at Chadron State College. A few of the classes required me to write a summary of my life, which prompted me to elaborate on my experiences with cancer. I want people to read my story and know that people can beat cancer. It does not have to stop you from getting on with your life.
My wish is to inspire others who may read this book. I feel that I have been though some tough times, and if I could say one thing to help someone else who is currently dealing with cancer, I would say, "Stay positive and never give up!"
I am currently living in Chadron, Nebraska, where I attended college. I have my own DJ business called Moore Music and stay busy with weddings and other dances, especially during the summer months. I also help a local radio station with reporting both high school and college football games. My goal is to be a sports announcer in the future.
