Best Friends Did you know that your choice of friends defines who you are? It has been said that you can tell a lot about a person by their friends. Did you know that God has a lot to say about those whom you call friends? Okay, if you say Jesus is your best friend, what are your other friends like? Are they friends who want to see you excel at everything you do? Are they friends who encourage you to go deeper in God’s Word, or are they friends who discourage you and tend to pull you back into old sinful ways? The Bible is clear when it comes to friends. It asks tough questions such as, “Can two walk together unless they are agreed?” It describes a friend as one who prays for you, who speaks with godly wisdom and whose kindness is always evident (Job 42:10). Being friends with someone who does not love the Lord, well, how can they truly be your friend? A friend should be someone you know intimately and one whose counsel is rooted in the word of God. The choice is clear Beloved, if you have chosen to walk with Jesus; those whom you call friends will desire to walk with Him too!

About the Book
A "Culture Change" (Acts 17:6–7) is the call and challenge throughout the Pride in Purity series. Sincere prayer and a godly walk from those who call on the name of Jesus (Acts 11:26) will assist women of all ages to live holy unto the Lord. Author Denise Elizabeth Ashurst’s desire is to inspire women from every culture to commit to reading the Bible and preparing themselves for two very important decisions. Salvation first—possessing a surrendered and obedient relationship with Christ. Secondly, marriage—waiting on the Lord’s counsel (Proverbs 21:30) before making a “dreadful” mistake. May the readers of this book and God’s Word enable unaware sisters to share in these principles, turning the world right side up (Isaiah 5:20).
About the Author
Denise Elizabeth was born and raised in Yonkers, New York to Julian and Regina Howard, and is the Sister of Gerald and Gilbert Howard. Life’s journey led her to twenty years in the military (Air Force) and ten years with the Department of Energy. She now resides in Boulder City, Nevada. This is the first book in the Purity Series that is dedicated to women of all ages. For women who have a desire to wait on the Lord. Denise is the Mother of three beautiful children, Narada, Danielle, and Jay (step son). She is also a “Mentor” to young women. But most importantly, Denise loves her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with all her heart, mind, and strength.
