The word of God has great impact on man; it is what we hear from God’s word that will bring life to our faith ( Authorised King James Version Bible, Romans 10:17” but we begin by hearing, trusting and confessing. When Moses heard the voice of God at Sinai, his faith came alive. There was no doubt in his heart that it was the voice of God. The Spirit of God started to move in his life, just like He does in ours, starting a fire within, that will not consume us but will be the beginning of a relationship that will change our lives forever. The truth is not just what we hear, but it is the living reality of the true and living God. When truth has gotten a hold of our lives, we will understand the relevance of the statutes of God laid down in the Old Testament and the reality of His love. Jesus is the fulfillment of the law, the love of God expressed to mankind, the opening and closing of the letter. His death, burial and resurrection openly confirm to all who hear, that indeed, truth is come to make men free. You, who have come out of Egypt, be assured that He who brought you out of Egypt will take you to the Promised Land. Jesus prayed, (Authorised King James Version Bible, John 17:15&17) “I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil…sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth”. A delightful walk with God and His word is a great step into victorious Christian living, impacting the world through Him.
Getting out of Egypt is one task, but getting Egypt out of you is an even greater task. Egypt usually refers to sin, bondage, and the world. It required the ultimate sacrifice of the Lamb of God to bring deliverance to all who believe on Him. After salvation, walking in the freedom that Jesus has bought through His blood can be a struggle for believers. The Sinai experience addresses the struggles that believers may have in their journey and it also seeks to reveal the character of Christ, so that in the midst of your personal Sinai Experience, you can see God for who He is.

About the Author
Born on a small tropical island in the Caribbean, the author from a tender age knew that Jesus was special and a source of peace, joy, help, and protection. As she journeyed through life, challenges to her faith birthed in her the desire to seek to know God, through the study of His Word. Through the inspiration and prompting of the Holy Spirit she was able to write this devotional. She is the wife of Trevor Thompson, a great encourager and mother of thirteen-year-old Taffi Thompson.
