When you look in the mirror what do you see? I can tell you what I saw and it was even after I gave my life to Christ. I saw my drug habit, my alcohol abuse, jealousy of my younger brother, unforgiveness of my father, stealing, lying. The list can go on and on but to sum it all up. I saw my sins. I didn’t see Denona in the mirror, I didn’t see chubby cheeks, or brown eyes, I didn’t even see how over weight I am, I saw my sin. The devil has a way of defeating you if you don’t grow your relationship with God. The devil can take everything you have done and put it under a microscope, you look at yourself and you see SIN, UNWORTHINESS, DISLIKE, and most of all UNLOVABLE. Luke 22: 31, “Jesus told Simon, Satan has asked for you that he may sift you as wheat.” The Devil wants us to “see” our sins because then we will deem ourselves so unworthy and so unlovable that we think that God will not want us. Here is another part of my journey: coming to terms with my past so I can have a future. Are you here? Your journey may not be the same as mine, but the outcome will still be the same. Jesus died for US; He died for the forgiveness of our sins.

Confessions of a Single Woman is about forgiveness of sins, trusting in the God who made you and wants to keep you. It is also a guide to learning how to have a relationship with Christ.
About the Author
Denona holds a master's degree in elementary education. She has always lived inside her head. After her birthday, she decided to put everything that she thinks about on paper. She is saved and delivered by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Through making the decision to follow Christ, it became a mission to teach and reach others through her own personal experiences to lead other women who are struggling to Christ. She lives in the Midwest with her adorable cat and teaches students with learning disabilities.
