The small man in the matching suit stood up with a gentle smile waved to everyone as he walked to the mike. The audience responded with more cheers for the person that they had come to love. “Well, he started but some in the crowd shouted “WE LOVE YOU REV” once again the audience stood up and sheered for another five minutes. “Okay, I love all of you.” he said. “Indeed it’s an honor to stand here among such great people, but to be honest I can’t take this award without acknowledging the people of this great city that I have come to love. A place that I’m proud to call home. A place where our kids can play outside without the threat of a drug pusher or being killed in crossfire, to put in plainly it had nothing to do with me, it had to do with you Pontiac. You’re the ones that were ready for a change, so in going to my seat I applaud you, the people of Pontiac.” he finished and started clapping his hands causing the audience to once again to start cheering. The mayor waited to speak again; there was a good feeling in the air. A feeling of youth and happiness. Even the mayor himself had come to feel the spirit of God when it entered a room and the mayor welcomed it into his heart. He was glad to be around in times as these. Where everywhere it looked like there was no hope, but not in his city. Not his little town of 66,000, there was Joy and Happiness here and the Mayor was glad he was here. “We thank Rev. Wallace for that but we Love you truly, and tomorrow will be a blessed day.” he said. “So we want everyone to join us tomorrow at Baldwin Park for the 3rd annual “STOP THE PAIN” rally where Rev. Wallace will be speaking.” Thank you all for coming and we’ll see you all tomorrow.

About the Author
Roosevelt Pollock has been involved in ministry since the age of twelve. At a young age, Roosevelt began teaching Bible study and leading out in prayer ministries while growing up in Orlando, Florida. Never shy about talking about the goodness of God, Roosevelt became his platoon prayer leader while serving for six years in the US Army. Upon receiving his calling, Roosevelt began his life as a youth minister while living in Pontiac, Michigan, where he began to love the city that became his second home. Never wanting to forget his roots, he kept close to the people that lived around him, never thinking more of himself. Roosevelt always found time to minister to those around him even in the toughest neighborhoods.
Now with a new city and state Roosevelt is looking forward to writing more exciting books and ministering to those around him.
