The Greatest Miracle

Now a note for believers who go out to pray for the sick- never lay your hands and pray for the sick without stirring up their faith through the word of God. Praying for a spiritually faithless person is like laying your hands on a stone. Faith is what draws the healing power of God from you into an individual, just as a magnet draws an iron rod to itself. You are a reservoir and vessel of the power of God by the Holy Spirit who lives and operates in and through you. It is what the Apostle Paul calls the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus. “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death” Rom. 8: 2 Notice that he said “in Christ Jesus”, meaning that this law operates in everyone who is IN CHRIST JESUS, that is, in believers. The law operating in an unbeliever is the law of sin and death. Believers carry life in them by the Holy Spirit. This is the law that operates in them. They are a walking divine throne. So a believer can lay hands on the sick and transfer this life to them as long as they only believe. Faith is that “osmotic gradient” that is required to initiate the flow. Faith in itself is obtained by the word of God. Romans 10: 17 Besides this, you can however lay hands and pray for the sick if you are under the healing anointing. You see, people get healed by two ways- first, by simple faith in the word of God which was emphasized above; and second, by the action of the healing anointing or the gifts of faith and healings. If the healing anointing is present, you can lay your hands on anyone and get them healed by the power of God. By the gift of faith, the faith of God stands in for the sick, and so when God sees the sick fellow, He sees His faith standing or interceding for them, and they receive their healings. The gift of faith is the faith of God. That is why it is called a gift. It belongs to God and He just gives you a part to function in for a certain purpose and time. The faith of God is unwavering and knows no limit, unlike human faith. It is the faith by which He created the heavens and the earth, and by which He repopulated the earth with living creatures in the Adamic era. This is why anyone operating in this gift can receive ANYTHING from God, no matter how mighty it seems. This is the faith that Jesus referred to which can move mountains. “So Jesus answered and said to them, ‘have faith in God’ (Grk. “have the faith of God”). “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘be taken up and cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that the things which he says are coming to pass, whatever he says shall be his” Mrk. 11: 22, 23 (EMTV)
