Rejoicing through the Tears

After a cancer diagnosis, we need to make each new day a celebration. I want to start by celebrating my God! Without him, there would be nothing else to celebrate. He can turn the most ordinary day into a party, with much rejoicing and a celebration. Do you have a battle raging in your life? Are you so weak and tired that you don't feel like celebrating? Do you feel like you've been shipwrecked on a deserted island in your midnight hour? Cheer up! There is always something to celebrate, no matter how insignificant it might seem. Each baby step in the right direction is a reason to celebrate. When you can't see the light at the end of the tunnel, Jesus becomes the light in the tunnel. The next time you hear the rockets soaring, start celebrating your victory. Hang your own flag high. Lift it proud for the whole world to see. Rejoice and be glad, and remember, His banner over you is love! Song of Solomon 2:4 He has taken me to the banquet hall, and his banner over me is love. Cancer isn't the beginning, nor is it the end. Cancer doesn't define me, who I am, as a woman. It is how I've learned to cope with it that really counts. If I can get past that, and, still, not give up, it cannot defeat me. Yes, there can be life after cancer. Get your class back. Take a deep breath. Square your shoulders. Stand up tall. Put one foot in front of the other one, and give that winning smile that is so uniquely yours. Put that sparkle back in your eyes, and move forward with confidence, knowing and believing that better days are right in front of you, and that you can be the best person that you were meant to be. Sometimes, when the music stops, you have to keep on dancing like never before! You are so special! No one else can be you, like you can!
