Over the years, I have grown deeply passionate about seeing Christian men enter into the joyous wonder of authentic fellowship with God and with one another. I have grown passionate about seeing men in our churches experience the freedom from the power of sin to which this authenticity in fellowship can lead. I’m concerned for Christian fathers and their influence on their sons and daughters. I’m concerned for Christian husbands and their leadership roles in their homes. And my heart is broken over pastors and laymen who are falling morally and losing their ministries and families. I’m convinced the impact of Christian men, in general, is dwindling in our effectiveness as real leaders in our homes and churches. I’m convinced this is because of a combination of two things: 1) a lack of biblical influence within many of our churches for men to become what we are supposed to become, and 2) a tremendous increase of the worldly influence produced by internet pornography sites, by the struggle of the love of money, and by the temptation to neglect our families. These latter three things are the major areas in which, according to Steve Farrar in his book "Finishing Strong,"Christian men tend to be ambushed: the ambush of another woman, the ambush of money, and the ambush of a neglected family. These are the three most common things that bind men. It is time that we men do something that will help one another break these bonds. It is time we men begin our journey to freedom together.

Let’s bring up the obvious and deal with it together! We men all run the same race and stumble along the same bumps and potholes; however, we isolate ourselves from one another, pretending everything is OK.
Christian men are falling. Many men in our local churches are currently on the fast track toward destruction. Many are trapped in self-made cages, hiding themselves in darkness, hoping no one sees where they really are, and at the same time earnestly desiring for someone to set them free.

Chad earned a BA in pastoral theology from Southeastern Bible College in Birmingham, Alabama, and is currently pursuing his MABS from Grace School of Theology.
