What does it mean for our lives?
Ever since Christ first went to the cross two thousand years ago, many people have committed terrible atrocities claiming that God told them to do it. Saul, who later became the apostle Paul, cast his vote to have Stephan stoned and later persecuted the church all in the name of God. Even many well-intentioned Christians have done the wrong thing for the wrong reason, believing that it was God’s will.
Nevertheless, is it possible for us as Christian people to hear God and apply what He says to our lives? How can we be sure that we won’t make the same mistakes that others in the past have made, or that we ourselves have made? Let’s look together at a few ways in which we can be more confident in our minds and have more assurance in our spirits that we are doing what He wants...
