CHAPTER 2 CLEAN AND FORGIVEN PICTURE OF WINTER-WONDER-LAND Mom told me that winter just passed. She explained how the land looked like a winter-wonder-land. Everything was covered with a soft blanket of snow. Mom told me God brings the snow and when it melts into the ground it washes the land and makes it clean and ready for springtime. Mom told me I have to be careful when I play in the snow because I can get lost in the big snow drifts. I can’t wait to lie down in the cold snow and cover myself in it. I want to make snow angels. Mom told me there really are angels and they watch over us. Mom taught me these Bible verses about being clean in your heart and about angel watching over us: Psalm 51:7 Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Psalm 91:11 For He will give His angels charge concerning you, to guard you in all your ways. Mom says there are lots of lessons we can learn from the snow. Mom says sometimes I “sin” when I do something that I know I shouldn’t do. When I sin I feel bad in my heart. Mom says Jesus can make my heart cleaner and whiter than the snow. If I’m sorry I sinned and ask Jesus to forgive me, He will forgive me and make me clean and forgiven. I will be covered in forgiveness like being covered in the white snow. When I walk I will be walking in forgiveness. Questions to ask child: Do you know that you can have a clean heart? Who makes your heart clean?

About the Book
My Name Is Tiny is a devotional about “fitting in.” I used a little puppy to tell the story. Tiny and his friends share biblical truths with one another in a way that makes it easier for children to remember. We don’t “fit in,” in the world but we “fit in,” in God’s plan for our lives. If a child realizes how valuable he is to God when he is young the rejection he may receive in this world won’t be as devastating. It may prevent him or her from seeking acceptance in the wrong places and from the wrong people. If the Word is hidden in their hearts especially at a young age it will give them strength throughout their lives. Thank you for letting me share this devotional with you. I pray the Lord blesses you and your family exceeding abundantly.
