About the Author
DOTTIE SMITH was born in 1943 to a Southern Baptist minister, Dr. E.L. and Marcine Pennington. She graduated college with an Associate Degree in Child Development. She has been a devoted wife, a caring homemaker, a loving mother and grandmother. Her faith in God has been the source of comfort to her through her many struggles:
Two failed marriages • Her life was threatened • Her sister committed suicide • Two family members were molested • She went from poverty to riches and back to poverty • Her Macular Degeneration was healed • Born with Scoliosis and later suffered four ruptured disks • Lost a home and $600,000 Promissory note • Fired several times - undeservedly • Has two estranged adult children • She received Food Stamps and Unemployment Benefits
