Several years ago, something happened that changed my life forever. Don’t get me wrong, the change was not instantaneous. But, the presence of God crashing into my life was instantaneous. It was like lighting a single candle on top of a mountain in the forest at night. Light entered my heart. Over time, He began to pursue me. Rather, I began to recognize His pursuit for what it was. He wanted to give me something. He wanted to give me my heart back, a new heart. He began to woo me with friendship, moments of inexplicable beauty, moments of powerful, moving love.

Have you ever woken up one day and realized that your life was a train wreck and you were driving the train? I did. Then, I met Jesus and He changed my life. He pursued me with His love and brought others around me to show me what relationship with Him was. What you are holding in your hands is merely some things He has said to me, shown me during this journey so far. I hope that you enjoy this journey as much as I have. May He bless the journey!
About the Author
I am the son of a pastor and foreign missionaries. My formative years were spent in Africa, where my parents served as church planters in the country of Zambia. I attended Rift Valley Academy in Kenya. After high school, I returned to the United States to attend college. Professionally, I have been a police officer for the last 14 years. During my career so far, I have been a SWAT member and have had assignments in narcotics and vice. My experiences, both professionally and personally, have given me an interesting and full perspective on life. I currently live and work in Indiana.
